Tile of Spain USA traveled to Spain earlier this month with a gifted group of architects, interior designers and journalists for an educational and inspirational tour of Valencia and Castellón as part of its’ annual Passport to Creativity Tour. In years past, the tour happened in conjunction with Cevisama, but the trade show was postponed to February 2023.

Gruppo Romani invests in energy efficiency

Gruppo Romani is responding to the unstable international situation by making an approximately €8 million investment to reduce the energy requirements of its Rubiera, Roteglia and Casalgrande plants. T he comeback that was predicted in 2020 after ceramic flooring sales experienced its first downward trajectory in several years was right on point as 2021 saw vast improvement across the board. Hearkening back to the success of its heyday, the overall U.S. ceramic tile category saw high single-digit growth in 2021 compared to 2020. FCNews research shows ceramic experienced an 8.2% increase in dollar sales to $3.077 billion in 2021 (flooring only) vs. $2.844 billion in 2020.

Ceramiche Piemme reports turnover growth and makes new hi-tech investments

Ceramiche Piemme reported 12% year-on-year revenue growth in 2021 to reach €80 million and an EBITDA of 12.76%, equivalent to €10.3 million.
