Spartanburg, S.C.—Milliken has appointed Todd van der Kruik vice president of global design for the company’s global floor covering division. A design leader of the flooring industry, van der Kruik joined Milliken effective May 14.

“Todd brings a wealth of design knowledge, innovation and creativity to our business,” said Jim McCallum, president of the Milliken global floor covering division. “His collaborative and inclusive approach make him a great fit to take our design function and products to a new level.”

Van der Kruik replaces Bob Hutchison, who is moving to a consulting role with Milliken. “I am grateful for Bob’s work in transforming our product portfolio over these last four years,” McCallum added. “Bob’s soft-spoken nature, technical knowledge and industry insights make him a great talent and a loyal partner, and I look forward to working with Bob in his new role.”

Van der Kruik brings to Milliken a history of design leadership and excellence in our industry. He most recently served as vice president of design for Bentley Mills. Prior to that, he held positions with Invista and Tandus. Van der Kruik also worked for Milliken previously, where he led the introduction of the Milliken Floor Covering solution dyed program.
