The AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is the site for the 2021 Southwest Flooring Market.

Marietta, Ga.—Market Maker Events (MME), producers of the Flooring Markets, has announced the Southwest Flooring Market will now take place April 8-9, 2021, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event was originally scheduled to take place January 7-8.

“With the continued surge in COVID-19 cases happening in Texas, we feel the opportunity to move the market to April is a better and safer decision for all,” said Barbara Stroup, managing partner of MME. “The majority of the current exhibitors support the move to April, and we anticipate adding more companies to the lineup as we move forward.”

Lori Kisner, managing partner, MME, concurred. “We’re happy to report our exhibitors are embracing the move to April, including our lead sponsor, BPI,” she said.

Caleb Unruh, marketing director at The Master’s Craft, a Southwest Flooring Market exhibitor, applauded the move. “We are looking forward to showing at the 2021 Southwest Flooring Market and believe this postponement is in the best interest of everyone involved. Our greatest concern is for the safety of everyone who would be in our booth, and we believe these new dates will help our customers have confidence attending the show.”

MME also received support from buyers in the region. “We’re really looking forward to seeing all the products and trends coming for 2021, but everyone’s health comes first,” said Azenette Galvan of Galvan Floors in Fort Worth, Texas. “As much as we all love coming together, I think it was a wise choice to move this annual event to April.”

MME announced the dates for the Southeast Flooring Market, Jan. 28-29, 2021, in Atlanta, and the Gulf Coast Flooring Market, Feb. 25-26, 2021, in Biloxi, Miss., will continue to move forward as originally scheduled. Pre-registration for all events is required. Registrations for those who already signed up to attend the Southwest Flooring Market will automatically be transferred to the new date, according to MME.
