Cartersville, Ga.—Aquafil, maker of Econyl regenerated nylon, is now included on Material Bank, the largest material marketplace for the architecture and design industry.

According to Aquafil, designers can specify more sustainable carpets for projects by searching for Econyl regenerated nylon in the Material Bank library. Aquafil said the library provides hundreds of options from leading brands including Interface, Mannington, Milliken, Masland, Tarkett and more. Searches can be filtered by application, color, construction, pattern and environmental benefits and standards.

“We are excited about the wonderful possibilities for architects and designers to explore the carpet collections that are made with Econyl regenerated nylon through Material Bank’s world class platform,” said Franco Rossi, president, Aquafil USA. “The ability to create design boards and palettes directly on the site with carpet samples of collections made with Econyl nylon is a game changer and we are excited to empower designers with these resources.”

Samples ordered from Material Bank by midnight EST are delivered the next day at no cost, the company said. Material Bank offsets 100% of direct carbon emissions from all sample shipments and samples can be easily returned to the source for reuse, eliminating waste, Aquafil said.

Econyl regenerated nylon can be infinitely recycled without ever losing quality, Aquafil said. Unleashing infinite possibilities for designers and architects, Econyl nylon is made from 100% waste, is 100% recyclable and offers up to 90% reduction in global warming potential compared to nylon from fossil sources, according to Aquafil.
