Salem, N.J.—Three of Mannington Mills’ officers will be retiring this year, signaling a leadership transition in the Mannington residential business unit. Ed Duncan, president of Mannington Residential; Steve Zangla, vice president of residential sales; and Joe Amato, vice president of residential styling, each plan to retire by the end of 2018.

“Ed, Steve and Joe have each made significant contributions to the success of the residential business during their tenure here,” said Russell Grizzle, president and CEO of Mannington Mills. “We have strong momentum in the marketplace, and this succession plan ensures we will be well positioned to build on our recent successes for years to come. On behalf of everyone at Mannington, we wish them many years of good health and happiness in their well-earned retirements.”

Duncan joined Mannington in 1988 as director of marketing. He was promoted to vice president of marketing in 1989, and in 1991 he was named vice president of Mannington Commercial, the newly formed commercial hard surface marketing division. Prior to his current position, he served as senior vice president, residential marketing and new business development. He also led Mannington’s entry into the new product categories of laminate, luxury vinyl sheet and LVT. As of Jan. 1, 2019, Zack Zehner will assume the role of president, Mannington Residential.

Zangla came to Mannington in 1997 as director of organizational development and training, and in 1999 was promoted to vice president of residential sales. Over the years, Zangla’s role has evolved and expanded to include Mannington’s entry into new product categories and business channels including residential remodel, multi-family, single family and Main Street commercial. Upon Zangla’s retirement this fall, Max Holland joined Mannington as vice president, residential sales.

Amato has been with Mannington for 39 years. During his tenure, he has been an integral part of the success of various flooring innovations, including the patented NatureForm texture manufacturing process and the laminate Restoration Collection. Amato has been a vital part of Mannington’s growth in LVT, leading the styling development for Adura, Adura Max and Adura Max APEX collections. As of Jan. 1, 2019, the residential styling team will report to Terry Marchetta in her new role as senior director, residential styling.
