Neenah, Wis.—Lico Flooring, a Swiss manufacturer of cork, wood, resilient and stone products, has announced plans to bring its offerings to the U.S. via a manufacturing partnership with Wisconsin-based Acoustic Ceiling Products (ACP), which develops innovative ceiling solutions and unique products to construct or renovate homes and commercial buildings. The newly formed C-corporation between Lico Flooring and ACP (Lico-US) will offer made-to-order flooring for customers in North America.

Under the terms of the partnership, Lico-US will invest $10 million to manufacture flooring at its 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility and headquarters in Neenah, Wis., which will include PVC flooring extrusion and milling lines. And beginning in fall 2019, Lico-US will begin manufacturing Hydro Fix Flooring, a multi-ply, coreboard-based product that touts waterproof capabilities and sound-dampening characteristics. More importantly, when the plant is complete, Lico-US claims it will be the first company to manufacture rigid PVC flooring in the United States for the North American market.

“Incorporating flooring into our product offerings was the obvious next step for ACP in our quest to provide innovative, whole-home décor solutions for our customers,” said Rob Rebman, ACP president. “Lico-US will be a pioneer in manufacturing rigid PVC floor in the U.S., combining Swiss-quality production processes with ACP’s proven Midwest sales and distribution model. Lico’s flooring brands will complement our backsplash, ceiling and wall coverings to help our customers enhance every surface of their homes.”

In addition to manufacturing, Lico-US will also provide its North American customers with sales support and service.
