Lancaster, Pa.—Four Armstrong Flooring products were awarded the Good Design 2020 Award: MedinPure PVC-free sheet with Diamond 10 Technology; Rejuvenations Restore sheet with Diamond 10 Technology; Unbound luxury flooring with Diamond 10 Technology; and Rigid Core Essentials.

Honored for quality design of the highest form, function and aesthetic, these awards recognize products across several flooring types (sheet, LVT and rigid core), as well as on both the commercial and residential sides of the business.

“Design, performance and innovation are essential priorities of the Armstrong Flooring brand and we are honored to be recognized again by Good Design,” said David Thoresen, senior vice president of product innovation at Armstrong Flooring. “To have four products recognized, several of which have won numerous awards this year, is a great reflection of the company’s dedication in these areas.”

In November, the 70th Good Design jury meeting was held online, and the jury selected more than 900 product designs and graphics from more than 48 nations worthy of the Good Design Award for their design excellence.

MedinPure

MedinPure is a PVC-free homogeneous vinyl sheet alternative that uses a patent-pending formulation, including coordinating PVC-free weld rods for aseptic areas. MedinPure is free of ortho-phthalates, halogens, isocyanates and Red List Chemicals of Concern.

Rejuvenations Restore

Rejuvenations Restore is a no-polish, low-maintenance heterogeneous sheet product that is designed to offer the perfect balance of performance and comfort underfoot. Designed with health care spaces in mind, Rejuvenations Restore is constructed with a comfort base layer to help reduce foot and leg fatigue and joint impact for health care professionals. It also helps control sound transmission and surface-generated noise to support a soothing environment.

Unbound

Unbound is a 5mm LVT product designed for seamless transitions to carpet in adjoining spaces, eliminating the need for transition strips. Unbound features Diamond 10 Technology, to provide category-leading scratch, stain and scuff resistance. It’s a low-maintenance solution designed to stand up to the wear and tear of commercial settings for floors that look newer, longer.

Rigid Core Essentials

Rigid Core Essentials is built to withstand everyday life scenarios in any room of the home. With a 5mm, dense polymer core and a 12-mil urethane wear layer, Rigid Core Essentials is designed to hold up to scratches, spills and stains. Installation is easy, as planks lock into place and can be installed over most existing subfloors or flooring. The easy-to-install product is 100% waterproof.
