Florence, Ala.—Schönox has partnered with BIMsmith, the leading platform for building product research and selection, to provide a suite of new Building Information Modeling (BIM) resources for building professionals.

“Schönox has been successfully helping building professionals address subfloor challenges from the everyday to the extreme for over a century,” said Carol Morris, sales operations manager at Schönox HPS North America, Inc. “Our new BIM resources are an important set of tools to facilitate the construction of reliable, long-lasting buildings worldwide.”

According to the company, the partnership involves the creation of digital BIM content for leading Schönox products—digital models that come with embedded performance and product data that facilitate the entire building lifecycle from architectural design to construction and maintenance. Each product model is engineered to integrate with Autodesk Revit, the leading software for architectural design.

Through the partnership, Schönox products are now available via BIMsmith Market, the leading platform for building professionals to perform product research, and BIMsmith Forge, a powerful BIM configurator that combines multiple flooring assembly layers into a downloadable system for use in Autodesk Revit, the company said.

“Schönox provides extensive expertise in the protection and performance of flooring systems,” said Benjamin Glunz, CEO of BIMsmith. “We’re thrilled to welcome them to the BIMsmith platform.”
