Patcraft introduces Organic Interruption

Cartersville, Ga.—Patcraft has launched its newest modular flooring collection, Organic Interruption. Inspired by the natural interaction between organic elements and man-made structures, the two 18 x 36-inch carpet tiles feature linear patterns disrupted by organic textures. With 12 colorful accents that are incorporated within six neutral bases, the Organic Interruption collection is designed to answer market-driven trends within education environments.

“For this collection, we sought feedback directly from the education market to inform the final patterns and color lines,” said Amanda Hopkins, hard and soft surface designer for Patcraft. “Our goal was to provide a beautiful, durable product that answered a need within education environments.  By incorporating varying hues for branding, wayfinding and biophilic design within the collection, designers have the flexibility to create engaging and inspired spaces throughout a range of learning environments.”

The collection’s two styles, Underlie and Linear Tension, were inspired by original artwork created by Hopkins. Using a variety of brushes and painting techniques, Hopkins creatively interpreted the linear and organic structures she observed within her own community. These graphic designs influenced the final pattern, embracing both how nature interacts with the built environment and also how these forces merge over time.

The Organic Interruption collection offers ease of maintenance, as each product can be cleaned with just hot water extraction. What’s more, the tile format offers opportunity for selective replacement to minimize operational interruptions and cost. Constructed with Solution Q Extreme and EcoWorx backing, the collection is designed and tested to meet Patcraft’s high standard for performance flooring. Products are Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver and are backed with limited lifetime warranties against stain, colorfastness to light, static and abrasive wear for maximum performance and appearance retention.
