We’ve been following the tile world for a long time, but with so much to see and report on, there are some things that have been missed. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t important or inspiring, so we’ve gathered a few fantastic tile collections we never got to share.
1) Onza by MUT
Delicious looking pieces of ceramic chocolate make up MUT‘s Onza collection designed by Alberto Sánchez. Chocolate bar style tiles in varying sizes and in white, terracotta, and grey made this a fun concept with lots of potential, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem be available any more.
2) The Unite Collection by Ishèle Levy
These gorgeous grout play tiles from Dutch designer Ishèle Levy create an incredible feature out of grout lines with curious curves and unusual shapes. Countless layouts and pattern possibilities can be created with the 10 shapes and various colours. Ishèle Levy’s site doesn’t currently show the range, but with any luck it’ll be available again.
3) Roll by Dsignio for Harmony-Peronda
This playful wibbly-wobbly maze style tile lets you create pattern as you go. Whether you zig-zag, go in circles, or produce something truly random, Roll offers endless possibilities.
4) End Grain by David Rockwell for Bisazza
Swirly zebra-striped style cement tiles make up End Grain. This curious collection now seems limited to the vibrant blue and anthracite Ocean colourway, though more neutral tones appear to have existed before.
