HomeCommercialBenchwick beta-tests new AI-powered wood innovation

Envision.StyleNew York, N.Y.—Benchwick recently announced a breakthrough called Envision.Style that is said to “learn” wood species (color, grain, patterns, etc.) and then recreate panels that are faithfully true to the original sample and provide highly believable pattern variations for digital printing and successful installation. According to the company, Envision.Style eliminates the lengthy and very expensive process of designers creating limited pattern variations for any kind of value to clients. Plus, Envision.Style can modify color to suit any target offering.

“This is a new, patent-pending, proprietary technology has been years in development by Benchwick,” said Ken Li, owner. “Our Benchwick U.S.-based engineers built on the artificial intelligence (AI) behind GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) and recognition technology.”

According to the company, the new technology is being beta-tested now and will be commercially available soon. It is aligned with Benchwick’s 3D EcoSystem of Surface Technology. The new solution is the newest company introduction, sitting alongside its current offering that includes Infinite Glass, DSE, TruBevel Pro and MattMaster.

“Benchwick is focused on bringing AI-driven differentiation to the flooring and interiors market through solutions including Envision.Style,” Li said. “This is an aspirational step in the evolution of Benchwick from being strictly an OEM provider to a sustainable innovator in the home improvement industry.”
