Salem, N.J.—In recognition of the benefits that higher education provides to both individuals and the communities in which they live, Mannington Mills is a corporate sponsor of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and the underwriter of scholarships for children of its associates. The company named Shannon Salerni and Brody Schneider this year’s recipients.

“We at Mannington are proud to be a part of the pursuit of higher education Shannon and Brody have bright futures ahead and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” said Keith Campbell, chairman of the board at Mannington Mills.

Shannon Salerni, daughter of Jennifer and Scott Salerni, Mannington vice president and general counsel, is a National Merit finalist, one of only four students to achieve this status since Mannington began offering these scholarships in 2014. Salerni will graduate in June from Padua Academy in Wilmington, Del., where she was named Valedictorian. This fall, she will attend The University of Alabama to pursue a degree in International Studies.

Brody Schneider, son of Kim and Rob Schneider, Mannington SAP business applications manager, will graduate from Kingsway High School in Woolwich Township, N.J. During his high school career, Schneider was active in the STEM Academy Learning as both an instructor and team leader. This fall, he will attend Rowan University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mannington has been a National Merit Scholarship Corporation sponsor since 2014. Four recipients have been National Merit Scholarship Finalists. In total, 18 scholarships have been awarded. Recipients have pursued majors across an impressive spectrum of academic disciplines ranging from physics, aeronautical engineering and natural resource management to physical therapy and international relations.
