For an classic look that is always in style, subway tiles are a fantastic choice for bathroom and kitchen backsplash tiles. Subway tile was named at the turn of the 19th century when the New York city subway systems opened. Lining the walls of the subways were a glazed, rectangular tile that were not only durable, and stain resistant but could also withstand rigorous cleaning.
