Prize for Primavera

Primavera Grigio secured a win in the Finishes category at this year’s Archiproducts Design Awards. Designed by Barber & Osgerby for Mutina, the unglazed porcelain stoneware tiles present a modern twist on the natural world.

Showcasing irregularity through the use of coloured ceramic chips, the slabs each offer a unique look and varied texture. The coloured inserts are a subtle and contemporary nod to nature. The designers explain – “We found a way to capture the authenticity of a natural material by manufacturing imperfections on the surface rather than by reproducing a design”.

Primavera’s decorative surface is available in five colours – Bianco, Blu, Grigio, Negro, and Verde – each offering a contemporary and elegant look that is complemented by the matt finish. It is a highly effective range, incorporating elements of terrazzo and wood chip but offering an entirely different aesthetic.
