Tom PendleyDalton—The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) said Tom Pendley, president and CEO of Mannington Mills Inc., will continue to serve as chair of the CRI board of directors in 2024 for a one-year term. Pendley has served as board chair since 2022.

At its 2023 annual meeting, the CRI board named Tim Baucom (president and CEO, Shaw Industries) as board vice chair. At the CRI Policy Committee meeting on January 17, Paul De Cock (president, Mohawk Industries) was introduced as a new board member.

“The Carpet and Rug Institute is grateful to Tom Pendley for his continued leadership and ongoing commitment to the industry,” said Russ DeLozier, president of the CRI. “With guidance from Tom and the board, the CRI is well positioned to continue to positively impact the industry and to navigate any challenges that may lie ahead.”

This announcement comes after unanimous votes at the January meeting of The CRI Policy Committee, held Jan. 17.
