Majestic Acquires Carolina Counters

RALEIGH, N.C. — Majestic Kitchen & Bath Creations announced in early August that it acquired Carolina Counters, currently headquartered near Charlotte in Midland, N.C.

300 MajesticWith this acquisition – the fourth in the last 12 months — Majestic grows its ability to serve customers in Charlotte as well as in neighboring South Carolina.

“This expansion supports our goal of being the most professional trade partner throughout the Carolinas,” said Scott Byers, Majestic CEO. “Carolina Counters shares our commitment to client service and value. And, our service areas are complementary.”

Frank Muraca, current owner and manager of Carolina Counters, will join the Majestic management team, leading the Charlotte operations.

“Frank is a tremendous leader who will play a key role in our go-forward strategy,” said Byers. “We’re excited to have Frank and the entire Carolina Counters team join Majestic.”

This acquisition includes a production facility in Midland, which Majestic will use as the proximity facility for the Charlotte and South Carolina markets. In addition, the Midland facility will provide redundancy for Majestic’s current production facilities.

The combined companies will operate under the Majestic brand name, with headquarters in Youngsville, N.C.

Since last September, Majestic acquired Greensboro, N.C.-based companies Piedmont Marble and Tiffany Marble & Glass Co., along with Builder’s Glass & Hardware Inc. in Wilmington, N.C.
