Somerset Hardwood Flooring logoSomerset, Ky.—Somerset Hardwood Flooring has entered into a single distribution agreement with distributor William M. Bird and Co., to represent the entire branded line of Somerset Hardwood Flooring in the southern region of the U.S.

According to the company, this agreement gives William M. Bird single distribution in middle and eastern Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and most of North Carolina.

“We are excited to grow our partnership with William M. Bird, and look forward to a strong relationship as we continue on a plan for mutual growth,” said Paul Stringer, VP of sales & marketing for Somerset Hardwood Flooring. “Both Somerset and Bird have a long history of performance, and we expect great things from William Bird going forward.”

Gene Corvino, president of William Bird said the company is very excited about the opportunity to provide Somerset Hardwood Flooring through single distribution for most of its territory. “The entire William M. Bird organization has been working diligently to earn this opportunity,” he said. “Our sales team is ‘all in’ and committed to delivering truly exceptional results in 2021 and beyond.”

John Allen, VP of sales for William M. Bird added, “Forming a preferred partnership with Somerset will allow Bird to increase service levels. The plan is to leverage the reliability of our delivery and inventory with our customer relationships. In addition, we have established a concierge customer service approach to provide a heightened level of focus and energy around Somerset Hardwood Flooring. Our mutual teams will be absolutely aligned to deliver extraordinary results.”

This change will take full effect on March 31, 2021.
