Armstrong announces another round of price hikes

HomeNewsArmstrong announces another round of price hikes

LANCASTER, Pa. – Following on the heels of its previous price increases that took effect Aug. 15, Armstrong Flooring announced it will raise prices yet again on a host of residential and commercial flooring products in the U.S.

Effective Nov. 1, 2021, there will be a complete price repositioning on IMA, commercial tile and select residential sheet and commercial/residential manufactured and sourced LVT products. Other select residential and commercial products will see increases up to 10%, with minimum increases ranging from $0.05-$0.25 per square foot. Additionally, an ocean freight surcharge ranging from $0.05-$0.25 per square foot is being implemented.

Armstrong Flooring executives said the increases are necessary to offset continued rising costs. “As a result of continued input cost increases and an evaluation of business policies, procedures and processes to better align to current market dynamics, we had no choice but to update certain aspects of pricing and freight,” said Brent Flaharty, senior vice president, chief customer experience officer. “Armstrong Flooring is committed to our loyal customers and will continue to enhance product quality while working to offer our products at competitive prices.”
