In this photo I removed carpet to install engineered wood in a glue down format. Wasn't bad at all, just pull up the tack strip, pad, and carpet and haul it off. Not so with the kitchen and utility room. That came out with a Makita chipping hammer to bust up the tile then come back with another chipping blade to take up the thin set mortar. A lot of dirty, dusty, and in the case of porcelain tile, often bloody.
