Anecdotal evidence suggests houses are getting smaller. Who knows for sure, but manufacturers believe it, which is why so many of them are introducing smaller versions of their popular products. The latest to do so is Kallista, a luxury brand of the Kohler Co. Its new 24-inch-wide vanity, the company says, is ideal for intimate powder rooms or small bathrooms. Like other pieces in the Vir Stil collection, the piece mixes Danish modernisn with industrial chic. It features a black walnut or lacquer vanity, Calacatta Borghini marble or mottled slate gray Grigio limestone top, and metal base and legs that come in four finishes: polished chrome, nickel silver, brushed nickel, and bronze.
