New Trends In Tile, Metal Trim?

There is a new trend in tile and I am not convinced this is a good idea and here's why. The new trend is using metal trim inside and out of showers instead of surface cap, bull nose milled or crafted accessory pieces of tile for edges and corners. I am seeing a lot of what I think is stainless steel trim for edges and corners of tile. To me for some reason it seems out of place.
