Georgia Carpet FinishersSalem, N.J.—Mannington Mills acquired Georgia Carpet Finishers, a premier supplier of carpet backing to the residential, hospitality and turf industries as well as high-density polyurethane cushions.

“Bringing Georgia Carpet Finishers into the Mannington family makes sense for us and our long-term business strategy and it is in line with Mannington’s values, which include ‘Control Our Own Destiny,’” said Russell Grizzle, president and CEO, Mannington Mills. “In addition, we have a long-term vendor relationship, so we already know it’s a good fit for both companies. We look forward to leveraging our combined strengths to grow the business.”

Dwight Hefner, president, Georgia Carpet Finishers, said the acquisition is an exciting next step for the company. “Over the years, our relationship with Mannington has grown and we know both organizations will benefit from this acquisition. As we open this new chapter we owe a word of gratitude to our long time, existing customers and we look forward to continuing those relationships, ‘business as usual.’”

The company said it will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Mannington Mills and will operate independently. The company is located in Chatsworth, Ga., and employs approximately 150 associates. According to the company, Hefner will remain president and report to Grizzle. No terms of the transaction were disclosed.
