Arlington, Va.—Coverings, the largest international tile and stone exhibition and conference in North America, will expand on its digital experience, Coverings Connected.

The new, multi-session Coverings Connected series will return in the form of scheduled online events that provide attendees with digital opportunities for educational webinars, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), on-demand content and an online showcase of Coverings’ tile and stone exhibitors from around the globe.

“Coverings Connected was created to support the tile and stone industry by providing attendees with engaging, relevant and complimentary content via a digital environment, and we look forward to continuing this mission through our Coverings Connected series,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies, LLC, the event management firm for Coverings. “Additionally, Coverings Connected provides our exhibiting companies and attendees ongoing opportunities for networking to promote growth and success across the industry.”

The first of three digital events will take place Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, hosted on Coverings’ website, and it will be followed by successive Coverings Connected experiences during 2020 and 2021. The second online event in the new Coverings Connected series is slated for Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020. The third and final digital experience prior to Coverings 2021, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021—National Tile Day.

August coverage

The Coverings Connected August event will address tile industry standards, selling tile post-pandemic and the health and wellness benefits of tile. Speakers for the sessions comprise various experts from installation and fabrication to materials and trends.

Sessions scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, include “Introduction to Tile Industry Standards,” by Mark Heinlein of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA); “Selling Tile Post-Pandemic: The Healthy & Hygienic Choice for Your Customers and Clients,” by Noah Chitty of Crossville, Inc., and Bill Griese, LEED AP, of Tile Council of North America (TCNA); and “Healthy Buildings, Healthy Homes: Tips for Specifying Surfaces in a Post-COVID World,” by Jamie Gold, CKD, CAPS, MCCWC, an author and design, wellness and real estate consultant, and Irene Williams, founder and CEO of MSG2MKT.
