HighLine Inc.Bel Air, Md.—Spartan Surfaces acquired HiLine Inc., effective September 30, 2022. Based in Minneapolis, HiLine covers Minnesota, Wisconsin, Dakotas, Iowa and Nebraska. Spartan welcomes the HiLine team, adding warehousing, sales and support staff to its Midwest operations.

Since 1979, HiLine Inc., serviced the flooring trade as well as the commercial specifiers and end users. The company said its mission is to partner with top suppliers to provide its clients with the best solutions and service.

Terry Hermanson and Brian Prevost took over day-to-day business operations in 2016. “HiLine Inc. and Spartan have built their business focusing on the commercial market,” Prevost said. “We understand the needs of the client, we have earned their confidence, trusting us to recommend the right products.”

According to Hermanson, the Spartan acquisition allows the company to provide an unmatched experience for its clients. “New products, pricing advantages and superior logistics make this a very exciting endeavor.”

According to Mike Blaskek, vice president of sales, Spartan, it’s rare to find an organization that has warehousing, logistics and also knows how to engage commercial specifiers at a high level. “HiLine has a well-balanced approach to the market; they are equally strong calling on the A&D community as they are at servicing the flooring contractor,” Blaskek said. “Terry and Brian’s team have built a great business, adding our Spartan fuel, this territory will burn even brighter.”
