Appalachian Lumber joins NWFA/NOFMA wood flooring program

HomeNewsAppalachian Lumber joins NWFA/NOFMA wood flooring program

St. Louis—Appalachian Lumber Co. is the latest company to earn NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification from the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA).

NWFA/NOFMA certification assures a manufacturer’s wood flooring meets or exceeds industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content and average board length. Certified mills must meet rigorous production standards and are inspected a minimum of two times per year to ensure consistent grade standards are maintained.

“NWFA is pleased to welcome Appalachian Lumber Co. as the newest NWFA/NOFMA member,” said Michael Martin, NWFA president & CEO. “Wood flooring is a big-ticket item for which the buyer wants assurance. The NWFA/NOFMA program continues to go a long way in providing that assurance.”

William Church, president of Appalachian Lumber Co., added, “Appalachian Lumber Co., a family owned custom wood products manufacturer in western North Carolina, strives to produce the highest-quality hardwood floors for the most discriminate buyer. The decision to join the NWFA/NOFMA certified mill program is another tool to ensure our customers that our products will meet or exceed their expectations.”
