Michael Halebian Solon, Ohio—Tarkett, a global leader in sustainable and innovative flooring solutions, is increasing its presence on the east coast, thanks to the expansion of one of its distributors. Effective Oct.1, 2023, Michael Halebian & Co., will expand its footprint to the Philadelphia market area, which includes Delaware and portions of New Jersey.

“We’re excited for the growth of our partners at Michael Halebian & Co.,” said Rusty Joyce, commercial president at Tarkett North America. “They have been a tremendous partner committed to exceptional customer service, and we’re proud to expand our reach with them.”

As a result of the expansion, Michael Halebian & Co., will now cover the entire states of New York, Delaware, Connecticut and New Jersey, as well as southeast and central Pennsylvania and select counties in Massachusetts.

“With a branch location in Ben Salem, Penn., and a full complement of territory managers and business development personnel, MHCO’s primary mission will be to substantially increase Tarkett market share at the retail and commercial flooring dealer levels,” said Michael Halebian, Jr., president and CEO of the distribution company. “We are looking forward to promoting the Tarkett brand name to architects, designers and end users in a market area that has experienced incredible growth year after year.”

Headquartered in Carlstadt, N.J., Michael Halebian & Co. has served customers in the flooring business since 1931, managing some accounts over three generations. The company has been a longtime Tarkett distribution partner.
