America’s Floor SourceColumbus, Ohio— America’s Floor Source has acquired The Flooring Gallery, a well-established flooring retailer in the Louisville and Lexington, Ky., areas. The acquisition includes The Flooring Gallery retail stores, design centers, warehouses, inventory and other assets.

“By adding The Flooring Gallery to the America’s Floor Source family, we will expand our presence and offerings in Louisville, and also enter the Lexington market,” said Jason Goldberg, founder and CEO of America’s Floor Source.

America’s Floor Source currently operates in Columbus, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Louisville. The present AFS location in Louisville is primarily focused on serving homebuilders and property management companies. Goldberg said this acquisition will enable AFS to offer the same complete range of products and services the company offers in other markets. “First off, we’ll be able to even better serve homebuilders and their clients with a complete design center in Louisville,” Goldberg said. “Additionally, we’ll also now have a true retail presence to offer full-service flooring solutions to homeowners—we’ll be launching wholesale in both Louisville and Lexington, which has proven to be a key part of our business in other markets.”

Nick Freadreacea, president of The Flooring Gallery, said he’s excited about what AFS and Goldberg will bring to the table. “Everyone here is very excited about the two teams coming together. I love the processes and innovation that America’s Floor Source has developed and is using. Jason and the AFS team will definitely be great stewards of what we’ve created here over the past 21 years. I’m looking forward to working with Jason through this transition and seeing how he and his team take things to another level over the next few years.”

In business since 2000, The Flooring Gallery has five locations, 28 employees and 2021 annual revenue projected to be $10 million. After the acquisition, America’s Floor Source now employs 400 people across three states, with 2021 projected annual revenue of $167 million.

In addition to The Flooring Gallery showrooms and design center, Goldberg said he also intends to expand his fleet of Mobile Floor Source vehicles in Louisville and into Lexington to enable homeowners to confidently shop from the comfort of their homes. “In other cities, retail has grown into an important part of our business,” Goldberg explained. “And with the addition of these established retail locations and our Mobile Floor Source fleet, we’ll be able to instantly do the same thing in these markets. All at once, we’ll have multiple retail showrooms for homeowners, as well as design centers dedicated to custom homebuilders and their clients.”
