Mountville, Pa.—AHF Products has acquired certain assets of American OEM, the trade name of Cumberland Products Group, LLC, a Tennessee company that specializes in manufacturing private labeled engineered wood flooring exclusively from North American timber resources.

American OEM manufactures engineered hardwood products at its plant in Only, Tenn., in a range of styles and species such as red oak, white oak, hickory, maple and walnut. Founded by Don Finkell to deliver high-quality, domestically produced engineered wood products, the company serves hardwood flooring distributors and national accounts across the United States.

“American OEM and Don Finkell have made a name for themselves in the industry with style and innovation, and we look forward to integrating these capabilities with AHF and our strong stable of brands, including Bruce, Hartco, Robbins and LM Flooring,” said Brian Carson, CEO and president, AHF Products. “Like AHF, American OEM has been committed to reviving the American hardwood flooring industry by making our products right here in the USA, offering reduced lead times. In addition, American OEM has a customer base that adds new opportunities for AHF Products, and we look forward to further expanding these relationships.”

Finkell will remain with AHF Products to continue product sales growth. “We are thrilled to be a part of AHF Products and help contribute to its growth,” he said. “We approach business in a similar fashion as AHF Products; product development is a collaborative effort between the company and its customers, in much the same way AHF Products approaches the market. This has been one of the reasons for AHF Products’ success over the last two years since its formation.”

According to the companies, the products sold under the Raintree, Hearthwood and Emily Morrow Home brands will continue under those brands.

Emily Morrow Finkell, CEO, Emily Morrow Home, said, “My products will continue to be made in Tennessee by AHF Products. I am genuinely looking forward to working with the AHF team and all of the future design capabilities that this enables me to bring to the Emily Morrow Home collection of brands. We do not foresee any changes in how we make or bring product to market and are confident that through this acquisition of American OEM by AHF Products, we will continue to grow and improve in countless ways.”
