The global supply chain slowdown has certainly led to major product delays and shortages for scores of flooring retailers around the country. However, as FCNews’ 2021 Annual Product Guide reveals, there are still plenty of great offerings available today, with even more in the pipeline.

Nearly two dozen manufacturers are showcasing their wares in this guide. Mohawk is highlighting two of its most successful collections—SolidTech and UltraWood. Made in the USA, SolidTech collections feature seamless click installations, making it the easy choice for consumers seeking durable wood- and stone-look flooring. As consumers trade up, the SolidTech line provides even more features and benefits. SolidTech Plus, the highest tier in the collection, is made with a tough wear layer and innovative lacquer that provides a high level of protection against everyday stains and scratches. Mohawk is also looking to take hardwood to the next level with UltraWood, which features the latest in technological innovations: EverLast, WetProtect and EasyClean for added protection and durability.

Shaw Industries is touting three of its brands—Shaw Floors, COREtec and Anderson Tuftex. Shaw Floors’ Repel, for example, is a splash-proof hardwood plank designed to provide extra household protection against spills, scuffs and scratches. COREtec, a brand synonymous with waterproof vinyl, is showcasing COREtec Pro, Stone, Advanced+ and COREtec Original, the lattermost representing the inaugural waterproof WPC floor that started it all with its patented core. Anderson Tuftex’s introductions include Immersion Ash, which is being positioned as the ideal natural hardwood to pair with any of AT’s Pet Perfect carpets.

Engineered Floors has evolved from its carpet roots to supply both soft and hard surfaces. Included in its 2021 offerings is Timeless Beauty, a residential engineered SPC floor suitable for tough everyday conditions.

Hardwood flooring manufacturers spanning the gamut from Canadian producers to South American suppliers also proudly display their impressive offerings in the ensuing pages. Indusparquet puts the spotlight on staple species such as Novo Brazilian Oak Natural, notable for its clean lines and rich colors. Mercier’s innovative finishing process seals the original color of raw wood in keeping with its simplest expression in Hard Maple Naked Series. Mirage unveiled new products within Sweet Memories, including Rocking Horse, a subtle white veil on natural white oak, while Jump Rope recalls the authentic charm of old floors and stands out for its unique staining and brushing process.

Daltile brings out its best and brightest with a quartet of standouts. A case in point is Defend, a distinct product line of high-performance porcelain tile featuring Microban technology. Then there’s Sapphire Status, an eye-catching blue marble design in a 10.6 x 5.3 slab, adding richness, elegance and style to any space.

MSI continues to impress with its Everlife collection, which encompasses ceramic and porcelain tile, luxury vinyl plank, laminate and wood. Specifically, Everlife Smithcliffs Laminate/Hillsdale is billed as a next-generation laminate that is 100% waterproof and features MSI’s DryLuxe technology.

SPC/rigid core continues to garner the lion’s share of the introductions. To that end, Lions Floor is highlighting its Bambino collection, which features a 12-mil wear layer with painted bevel edges and the latest designer colors and wire-brushed visuals. Republic is touting its Designer Pro Series, which is based on its Pure SPC Max flooring range, with a thicker sound-proof underlayment and textured vinyl overlay.

FCNews’ Annual Product Guide 2021 promotes the latest and greatest offerings from industry players representing all categories. Each manufacturer that chose to participate in this special issue had the opportunity to submit a photo and description of four recently introduced products or top sellers. The idea here is that these products not only stay on your radar when offering options to the consumer, but that they also earn placement in your showroom. This special issue is intended to provide information flooring dealers can use when customers walk into your store.

Regardless of the personal tastes or preferences of consumers in your local market, chances are you’ll find a few suppliers offering a range of both soft and hard surface products in the guide, along with companies that provide helpful installation and preparation products. Consider the Annual Product Guide your one-stop shop for highlighted products in the marketplace, assisting in making recommendations to customers.
