trend reportDallas, Texas—A leader in style and design, Daltile launched its first Daltile Trend Report 2022. The report was produced in collaboration with the brand’s lead product designer, Laura Grilli, and is a culmination of canvassed input from the worlds of fashion, interior design, psychology and current events.

Seven top trends are named and explained in the report in which Daltile highlights the hottest overall interior design trends, color trends and tile trends for 2022.

Trend Report 2022

“Style and design surround us—impacting how we feel, the personality of a room or the energy of a space,” Grill said. “As a fashion-driven brand, Daltile is an innovator of hotly-anticipated trends in interior design, color and tile. The Daltile Trends Report 2022 serves as a guide to help designers, architects and homeowners create fresh, breathtaking spaces.”

Grilli added that part of the beauty of tile is being able to envision any design and bring it to life with colors, patterns, designs, styles, textures and sizes. “This empowers us to keep our Daltile line at the forefront of current style trends,” Grilli said.

Design philosophy

“Design is an innate human need,” Grilli explained. “The need to express our individuality artistically. The desire to surround ourselves with an environment that makes us feel good and helps bring joy and functionality to our daily lives.”

Grilli said her overriding goal as Daltile’s lead product designer is to create tile products that are beautiful and innovative. “A kind of beauty that helps people feel good in their homes, in their environments. Something they can enjoy, feel under their feet, touch with their hands. To create something fresh and new — that is my objective.”

According to Grilli, the Daltile team works hard to ensure the collections embody the essence of the company’s tagline—“Imagine what’s possible.”
