Dallas, Texas—The number of bathroom remodels substantially increased during 2020, according to a recent member survey conducted by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

Bathrooms have now hit the 82% mark alongside kitchens in response to the NARI survey question, “What kinds of remodeling projects does your company frequently perform?” The answer, according to Daltile, is positive news for the tile industry.

Because tile is hard and impervious, it is innately resistant to the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew.”

Daltile’s Defend is a distinct product line of high-performance tile featuring Microban technology that continuously eliminates up to 99% of bacteria on the tile surface.”
