Pendleton, S.C.—The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) will raffle off an original Angie Halford Ré American Flag mosaic, donated by Ron Nash, president and COO, North America, Laticrete International Inc., on Thursday, April 7, 2022, during Coverings, the Global Tile & Stone Experience, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in NTCA Booth N2862 at 3 p.m. P.T.

According to CTEF, proceeds from the raffle benefit CTEF, enabling the foundation to continue its mission, educating, certifying tile installation professionals as well as offering local, regional and national training programs for consumers, installers, construction professionals, architects, designers, building inspectors and sales associates interested in the sale and installation of ceramic tile.

“Education should be every leader’s No. 1 priority, and CTEF is part of the solution,” Nash said. “Tile is not getting easier to install. Quite the opposite; tile is getting larger, technically more difficult, construction schedules are more compressed and it’s harder to find qualified labor. CTEF directly addresses education and improving talent in the field. Furthermore, CTEF is a good steward of the money it receives as donations.”

Ré is the founder and owner of Unique Mosaics, a custom mosaic tile artwork studio located in South Salt Lake, Utah. A nationally acclaimed and globally recognized mosaic artisan, the company said her work represents one-of-a-kind creations that stand out for their artistry, beauty and detail.

“The value of CTEF is in the name,” Ré said. “Tile education is a very broad term with a huge amount of opportunity to learn more to be successful in this field and that is of the utmost importance and value in my opinion.”

The American Flag mosaic measures 42.5 X 67 and is 1.25 thick. It is mounted on plywood and features various shades and shapes of glass tile, stained glass and glittery grout.

Those wanting to participate in the raffle can purchase $5 tickets online, starting March 21 at 7 a.m. EST until April 7 at 12 PT. Tickets will also be available during Coverings 2022 at the NTCA Booth N2862. According to CTEF, participants do not need to be present to win and the NTCA will ship the mosaic to the winner.
