Studija Lape completed the Yacht House , a modern residence in a suburb of Vilnius, Lithuania, near the edge of a forest. The large aquarium is a decorative reference to the sea; a swimming pool and jacuzzi in the courtyard continue the water theme outdoors.

This particular modern river house is located on the banks of the Neris River, in Lithuania’s Vilnius County. Retaining the existing trees around the house and even commemorating the former birch through the design concept, architects imagined a home where you would feel outdoors in any space.

Each level has its own outdoor lounge area, where residents can enjoy nature in full. Plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors provide access to the grassy carpet outside as well as open up to the surrounding views of the forest.
