Bluegrass Wood ProductsSt. Louis—Bluegrass Wood Products is the latest company to earn NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification from the National Wood Flooring Association.

“NWFA is pleased to welcome Bluegrass Wood Products as the newest NWFA/NOFMA member,” said Michael Martin, NWFA president & CEO. “Recent studies confirm that solid wood flooring has the lowest carbon footprint among all flooring types and has excellent long-term value. Consumers still demand quality however, and the NWFA/NOFMA certification assures they will get it.”

NWFA/NOFMA certification assures a manufacturer’s wood flooring meets or exceeds industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content and average board length. Certified mills must meet rigorous production standards and are inspected a minimum of two times per year to ensure consistent grade standards are maintained.

“Bluegrass Wood Products, formerly Southern Kentucky Hardwood Flooring, is the latest company to join the Merrick Group,” said Steve Merrick, president & CEO. “Merrick Hardwoods is a long-time member of the NWFA/NOFMA certified mill program. Having experienced first-hand the operational and marketing benefits the program provides, certifying Bluegrass was an easy decision for us.”
