At the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, automobiles will be launched to their owners’ condos by elevator. Not to be outdone, the nearby Estates at Acqualina will feature a three-story “Circus Maximus” complex, where residents and guests can enjoy bowling, a Formula I simulator, indoor ice skating and a surfing simulator.

At the Turnberry Ocean Club, there will be a Sky Club, Sky Theater and sunrise and sunset swimming pools. And up the Gold Coast in Pompano Beach, residents of the 19-story Sabbia Beach will have the Atlantic Ocean as their own backyard.

For a showcase of these projects and many more, the forthcoming Miami New Construction Show between October 22 and 25 at the Miami Beach Convention Center will be the scene of more than 100 of the best luxury residential developments South Florida has to offer. More than 25,000 visitors are expected to attend the four-day event, which will also feature an estimated 150 real estate and construction related service providers.

But the stars of the show will be some of the most exotic, innovative and expensive projects that the South Florida real estate community has seen in years.

“Developers are spending millions to create lifestyles, environments and amenities that cannot be found in any other real estate market,” said Anita Funtek, founder and CEO of the Miami New Construction Show. “Some are blending their projects with new mixed use community concepts in their surrounding neighborhoods. All are taking advantage of the growing cultural and business connections that the Greater Miami area has to offer.”

From downtown Miami northward along the beaches, here are snapshots of some of the more innovative luxury projects that will be on display at the Miami New Construction Show.

Paramount World Center

Located just north of central downtown Miami and across Biscayne Boulevard from the Perez Art Museum and Frost Science Museum, the Paramount Miami Worldcenter will consist of 58 stories of luxury directly atop the exclusive Mall at Miami Worldcenter. Overall, the Miami Worldcenter mixed-use project will span nearly 30 acres.

Porsche Design Tower

Developer Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development, named his condo tower’s vertical car transport system after himself. The “Dezervator” has been patented and tested and is in the process of being installed inside his 60-story tower on Sunny Isles Beach. Of 132 units, fewer than a dozen were recently reported to remain up for sale. Prices range from $6.3 million to $32.5 million for a 16,195-square-foot penthouse that occupies four levels. The tower, at 18555 Collins Avenue, also boasts other eclectic amenities ranging from balcony plunge pools to a collection of six “man caves.”

The Estates at Acqualina

The project, also in Sunny Isles Beach, is yet another gem in the luxury portfolio of South African-born developer Jules Trump. After he and his brother, Eddie, built an 80-acre development on Williams Island in Aventura, they jumped the Intracoastal to build the 51-story Acqualina Resort & Spa. Next came the Mansions at Acqualina nearby. The 5.6-acre, gated Estates project will consist of 264 ultra-luxury homes with prices running from $3.9 million to $40 million.

Turnberry Ocean Club

Turnberry Ocean Club is also a Sunny Isles Beach project that is rising as a spectacular 54-story glass tower with only 154 residences. Of 70,000 square feet of amenities, an estimated 40,000 square feet are located in the Sky Club. There will be two sunrise and sunset swimming pools, two hydrotherapy spas and a Sky Theater with movies under the stars. Construction, which started this year, is scheduled to conclude in 2018.

Sabbia Beach

It’s been a long time since a new luxury condo tower rose along the ocean in the Broward County municipality of Pompano Beach. Fernbrook Florida broke the spell with its 19-story, 72-unit Sabbia Beach at 730 N. Ocean Blvd. Groundbreaking took place this fall and completion is set for 2017.

During the course of the Miami New Construction Show, members of the news media are invited to view all of the exhibits around the Miami Beach Convention Center and to speak with project developers and their representatives.
