Sweden—Välinge Innovation expanded its North American executive team. Ben Goodman joined as business develop manager, and Cheryle Mundy and Mark Machnicki were both appointed as sales managers.

“Välinge Innovation prides itself on its commitment to giving its licensees, partners and customers the best support every step of the way,” said Zach Adams, general manager, Välinge North America. “So, we’re delighted to have Ben, Cheryle and Mark join—they are a great addition to our team and bring a wealth of experience with them that will be of great benefit to Välinge and our partners going forward.”

Goodman will bring his knowledge of the flooring industry to the role—ensuring importers and distributors reap the benefits from Välinge’s innovations, support and network, the company said. “I am very excited to join such an esteemed organization leading their respective segment of the flooring industry in innovation and technological advancements,” Goodman said. “I am confident that we can showcase our technology and capabilities to the North American market in a way that will further advance Välinge as the leader in the flooring technologies segment while enhancing all levels of the value chain for our business partners.”

Mundy is experienced in consumer sales and will initially focus on Välinge Flooring sales and support in the East. “I am delighted to join Välinge North America at an exciting time in the company’s growth,” Mundy said. “I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience with our awesome team and partners to continue growing our presence in North America.”

Machnicki will take responsibility for the Midwest. Mark has over 20 years of experience working with wood flooring manufacturers, distribution and retailers. “I knew that Välinge’s entry to manufacturing wood flooring would create an unprecedented product—and my first opportunity to see and install the product confirmed my beliefs,” Machnicki said. “Välinge Flooring offers incredible quality, look, price, innovation, engineering and support. I couldn’t be happier to join the team.”

The expansion comes as Välinge experienced growing demand in the U.S. market driven by the launch of its hardened wood floor collection. According to the company, it is a real wood floor that features Woodura’s technology.
