Painted PerspectivesLas Vegas—Mohawk Group’s Durkan Hospitality brought its latest collections, Bellamy, Painted Perspectives and RevWood Contract to the HD Expo and Conference held here April 26-28.

“HD Expo is providing a valuable conference experience and we are happy to be exhibiting again in 2022,” said Jackie Dettmar, VP marketing, design and product development, Mohawk Group. “This year promises to be even more exciting as we kick off our Better Together initiative, featuring collections developed in collaboration with ArtLifting, that help make a positive social impact through product.”

As part of Mohawk Group’s collaboration with ArtLifting, Durkan said it will be showcasing its latest collection, Painted Perspectives. According to the company, Painted Perspectives brings together divergent artistic styles, putting them in conversation and celebrating the beauty that emerges from a shared practice of visual arts. The soft surface collection developed from the work of two artists, Alicia Sterling Beach and Scott Benner, both of whom are part of the ArtLifting community.

ArtLifting champions artists who are impacted by housing insecurity or disabilities by providing a platform to amplify their voices and participate in the contemporary art market. According to the company, each artist is valued to participate, respected for their diversity and compensated for the use of their work as well as support of the organization’s mission.

“My goal is to make their invisible talents visible and, by doing so, change stereotypes,” said Liz Powers, co-founder and CEO, ArtLifting. “Instead of defining people by their circumstance, we should define them by their talent.”

Bellamy, meaning “beautiful friend” is inspired by how designer Virginia Langley looks at the various seasons in nature, according to the company. Bellamy is featured in Durkan’s innovative Definity, PDI, PDI Tile and Pattern Perfect technologies.

Durkan’s RevWood Contract is the latest innovation in hard surface flooring. RevWood Contract features the most realistic wood visuals with emboss-in-register technology, attached pad for premium sound absorption, waterproof click system and maximum scratch and wear resistance, according to the company. The Voxwood style is offered in a color palette ranging from cool grey to rich browns.
