Makeover Takeover Renovation SummitCalhoun, Ga.—Pergo Extreme will sponsor Country Living and Good Housekeeping’s virtual Makeover Takeover Renovation Summit, Mohawk said. During the free summit from Wed., May 12, to Thurs., May 13, top home design experts will share simple hacks and how-tos on instant gratification home upgrades, according to the company.

“The Makeover Takeover Renovation Summit gives us an opportunity to showcase our Pergo Extreme products to Country Living and Good Housekeeping’s audience,” said Melissa Kroll, senior director of design and development, resilient. “A lot of time and consumer research goes into each design. The event will allow us to teach attendees about our product designs, the benefits of resilient flooring and where to purchase—leading them to our specialty retail partners.”

Pergo Extreme will present the “Trend Watch: What’s Hot in Paint, Tiles, Cabinets, Flooring and More” panel on May 12 at 1:15 p.m. EST. The panelists include Stacy-Ann Blake, founder of “Design Addict Mom;” Nicole Gibbons, interior designer and founder of “Clare”; and Young Huh, interior designer. The discussion will explore design trends across a range of home categories from paint to flooring, Mohawk said.

After the Trend Watch panel, Mohawk said Pergo Extreme will host a special Zoom breakout session. Flooring questions will be answered live by three members of Mohawk’s resilient team: Kroll, Ed Sanchez, vice president of product management, and Sarah Gist, senior product designer. During this breakout session, the team will discuss the benefits of resilient flooring and showcase Pergo Extreme’s range of durable flooring options and designs, the company said.

“With so many resilient products in the market, it can be hard to choose the best one,” Sanchez explained. “But with Pergo Extreme, we have created innovative, worry-free flooring. Since Pergo is the most recognized hard surface brand in the industry, we are held to a high standard that we continue to meet with high-performance products and on-trend designs.”

Pergo Extreme features a layered system with a rigid SPC core, designed to create uncompromising performance and unmatched dimensional stability and making it 100% dent-proof, pet-proof, kid-proof and waterproof, according to Mohawk. It also offers a residential lifetime warranty, the company added.

Mohawk said Pergo Extreme is available in three price tiers, each delivering top-quality performance. While Pergo Extreme Originals is priced at an affordable price point with high-quality visuals and performance, Pergo Extreme Preferred includes wider and longer planks with painted bevels designed for more authentic visuals, according to the company. Launching at the end of 2021, Pergo Extreme Ultra will feature WetProtect technology, offering the best water protection of any product in the market and a lifetime warranty for the subfloor and the top of the floor, Mohawk said.
