Mountville, Pa.—AHF Products is launching Robbins Pro-Tekt, a new line of rigid core products. The new introduction addresses customer demand for a wood floor alternative with the quality and fine design associated with the Robbins brand, and like all Robbins products will be sold direct to retailers, the company said.

“In today’s competitive flooring market, retailers are looking for ways to increase sales while maintaining a focus on stylish, quality product offerings,” said Michael O’Hearn, general sales manager, Robbins. “Robbins provides retailers with a unique selling proposition in hardwood and, now at our customers’ request, we have a terrific rigid core option as well.”

The new line targets active consumers who will benefit from high performance standards and want a great looking, yet inexpensive floor for a basement, laundry or other hard-working area in the home, the company said.

It also opens new opportunities for retailers serving Main Street applications, and for markets such as multi-family and manufactured housing. “These products, because of their looks, durability, waterproof nature and easy maintenance, offer a perfect solution for small businesses and give the independent retailer a new opportunity for sales,” said Brian Parker, director of product management, AHF Products. “In addition, our product, manufactured outside China, is not impacted by the recent tariff.”

Robbins Pro-Tekt delivers 100% waterproof protection, the company said, and provides greater impact resistance and dimensional stability for high-traffic areas. The Pro-Tekt core construction eliminates air pockets, which results in increased product hardness and protection from moisture. The precision milling of the lock makes installation easy and fast. Fourteen classic and trending wood looks offer timeless naturals, dramatic grain patterns and pale, subtle looks as well as darker hues. It is uniquely built to withstand it all, including dents, scratches, spills, stains and fading from sunlight.

“The genesis of this product is that we listened to our customers,” O’Hearn said. “We will continue to help our customers grow by offering the best products that satisfy them at their point of need, from desirable, classic hardwoods to affordable rigid core flooring. Our goal is to make the retailer more effective.”

To see a new Pro-Tekt floor in a home setting, use the company’s new visualizer tool to virtually install a variety of Robbins flooring products.
