This material is soft and very porous and is made from the calcium carbonate laden strata from ancient mineral hot springs. Travertine comes from all over the world. Some of it is honed and smoothed.

The Perfect Bath

The gray and white marble, called Zephyr, is quarried in Turkey. This is a wonderful room for many reasons, but I have focused specifically on the fireplace. Rarely do I see a fireplace using directional stone and one that is so bold.

– I have a pet Magpie, Turkey, Duck, Pig, and some others… – My family grows record setting giant pumpkins. I don’t particularly like brussel sprouts I won a turkey bowling championship! I couldn’t keep it, but the owner of the quarry sold it for $25k. Being an Architect helped, for sure!
