Big news, Trading Spaces fans: TLC just confirmed that longtime host Paige Davis will return for the 2018 reboot of the popular home makeover show.

The host expressed back in March when the reboot was announced that she would love to host again, and the 47 year old actor has gotten her wish.

It’s true as far as I can tell. I hope I get to host again. RT @NYDesignGuy: @RealPaigeDavis Wait what?!…

“TLC is back into home and property with Nate & Jeremiah By Design, our new show helping distressed homeowners turn disasters into dream homes,” said TLC President and General Manager Nancy Daniels at the network’s upfronts earlier this year. “We are thrilled to expand in this space, and what better way to do that than to bring back Trading Spaces, the series that put property on the map.”

Trading Spaces originally aired on the network from 2000 to 2008 and launched the careers of several designers and personalities, like Genevieve Gorder, Vern Yip, and Ty Pennington (who went on to host serious cryfest Extreme Makeover: Home Edition).

Since then, Davis has been keeping busy hosting Home Made Simple on the Oprah network and Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family. In 2013, she reprised her role as as Roxy Hart in the musical Chicago on Broadway.

There’s no word on whether any of the original designers are on board for the reboot yet. But are we even ready for more Hildi antics? Probably not.

Production for the new season is already underway, as they’re casting homeowners in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Baltimore. The show is slated to begin airing new episodes next year.
