Supergres opens new showroom

At its headquarters in Casalgrande in the province of Reggio Emilia, Ceramiche Supergres has created new showroom spaces to display its extensive range of porcelain stoneware and white-body wall tiles in an engaging and a visually appealing manner. The exhibition space extends over an indoor area of more than 1,000 square metres, along with areas devoted to outdoor ceramic applications and a meeting room for seminars and workshops, with potential for further expansion for special events.

In view of its close ties with the local area, the company decided to remain at its longstanding headquarters while undertaking a redevelopment project to breathe new life into the historic industrial buildings, which stand as a local landmark.

The more than six-metre high ceiling with its elegant vaulted concrete trusses has been preserved, creating a powerful sense of space. The design incorporates solid/void effects, alternating roofed sections with open spaces delineated solely by the arches and allowing plenty of natural light to flow in.

All materials used in the renovation were chosen for their low environmental impact and with a preference for local resources. Every architectural and furnishing element was designed to emphasise the beauty of the ceramic tiles and the versatility of the spaces.

Large display areas allow visitors to fully appreciate the graphic variability and the potential residential and commercial applications of both floor and wall tiles, presented in original combinations of material effects. The high industrial ceilings also allow large-format ceramic slabs to be displayed effectively, showing off the full potential of the VeinMatching technology by Supergres.

Artworks emphasising the human figure with all its frailties, beauty and vitality are strategically placed throughout the showroom, seamlessly integrating with the design of the spaces and offering guests a unique sensory experience that engages both heart and mind.

The showroom stands out for its large, well-lit spaces with reflective surfaces that create captivating plays of shadows and reflections. With its elegant design, the showroom is the ideal place for meeting customers, architects and other design professionals, allowing them to explore the extensive applications and versatility of ceramic tiles.

Every design element has been chosen not just for its aesthetic appeal but also for its environmental sustainability, reflecting Supergres’ commitment to reducing its ecological footprint and preserving the Earth’s beauty for future generations.

The showroom features energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems powered by eco-friendly heat pumps, while solar panels cover the entire flat surface of the roof and produce enough energy to offset consumption.

Additionally, plants and other natural elements have been carefully integrated with the interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the air quality and ensuring the well-being of visitors.
