Hill International Awarded Contract to Manage $1.1 Billion Bidbid Sur Road Project in Oman

Hill International, the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that it has received a contract from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Sultanate of Oman to provide project management services in connection with the construction of Sections 1 and 2 of the Bidbid Sur Road in Oman. The three-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately RO 1.5 million ($4.0 million).

The RO 432 million ($1.1 billion) project includes nine interchanges, two underpasses, two overpasses, associated retaining wall structures and approximately 171 reinforced concrete culverts. The 247-kilometer (154-mile), six-lane highway will connect the cities of Bidbid and Sur.

"We are honored to be part of this major infrastructure project," said Mohammed Al Rais, Senior Vice President and Managing Director (Middle East) for Hill's Project Management Group. "The positive impact of the highway on commerce and tourism will benefit all of Oman," added Al Rais.
