This week, we’re looking at 2016 tiles and trends from Ceramics of Italy, as this major trade organization of Italian tile brands showed off at the big Cersaie expo in Bologna. Drawing inspiration from an age-old pattern, designers will love dressing up floors and walls with these eye-catching porcelains. Chevron Chic.

You can’t think of Mexican tile without picturing colorful, hand-painted designs. Before making its way to Mexico, the Romans used Terra-cotta or fired red-clay vessels to carry water throughout their ancient baths. Today, homeowners and designers are crushing over Terra-cotta’s usage as a popular flooring material.

Florida, August 2016 – Before and afters are such a fun part of design, reminiscing the old and celebrating the new. Grout Sealer: When I was remodeling my kitchen a while back, I didn’t seal my kitchen grout in time-big mistake! It started out very dark, and the tile and fixtures were beyond outdated.

To start, for the guest powder bath I have selected the Waterworks Compass pendant in unlacquered brass. The room is a very small bath squeezed around a very large chimney. I love the Compass light, especially in brass, and have decided that despite the bath’s diminutive size, mixing finishes was the thing to do.
