FCEF brings install students to Coverings

Atlanta—Last week, students from Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC)/The Dalton Academy and Atlanta Technical College, who are participating in the Basic Floor Covering Program, attended Coverings 2024 here. Coverings, which spans nine miles of tile and stone from 1,000+ global exhibitors, was an opportunity for the students to experience the industry outside of the classroom.

Tile continues downward slide

Clemson, S.C.—U.S. ceramic tile consumption in 2023 was 2.85 billion square feet, down 7.3% from the previous year, according to the Tile Council of North America (TCNA). Imports U.S. ceramic tile imports were at 2.00 billion square feet in 2023, an 8.4% decline from the prior year. Imports comprised 70.2% of 2023 U.S. tile consumption by volume, down from 71.1% in 2022.
