The strength and density of porcelain results in a higher PSI level, making it suitable for floor applications and commercial spaces. The Saadian Tombs in Marrakech, pictured above, show how glazed ceramic tile was used to cover the floors and walls. Holland made an excellent access point for moving tile from the Netherlands to the UK.

A neighborhood of 3D-printed houses for rent in Eindhoven, The Netherlands Eindhoven University of Technology is set to 3D print a neighborhood of concrete houses for rent named Project Milestone. The one-bedroom, one-bath home has a striking living room and kitchen laid out over 1,000 square feet.

They preserved the original wooden floors running through most of the apartment’s four separated spaces. Historic flooring complements the warm character of the its exposed brick archways and barrel vaulted ceiling. These mid-century modern pieces add to the loft’s vintage cred.
