A veteran of the hardwood flooring industry for more than 25 years, Oakley joined the company, based here, in 2000 as a regional sales manager. He was promoted to national sales manager in 2005.

Bird announced the retirement of John Allen, vice president of sales, effective Dec. Allen, a 46-year veteran of the floor covering industry, served more than half that time with William M. Bird in 1997 as a builder sales manager, before being promoted to sales manager of the South Region and product director in 2005.
