At Greenbuild 2016, TCNA announced UL certification of the Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for tile mortars and tile grouts made in North America. In addition to LEED, EPDs can be used to satisfy requirements in Green Globes, IgCC, ASHRAE 189.1 The grout and mortar EPDs represent more than 2.25 and ICC 700.

—The Tile Council of North America (TCNA) revealed the publication of its Material Ingredient Guide on July 7 at Coverings 2021. First, to obtain GreenScreen Benchmark Scores (listed within the guide) for the vast majority of material ingredients used by ceramic tile, mortar and grout manufacturers. Green Building Council.

Daltile donated a 12×12 floor tile and LATICRETE donated thinset mortar and grout. The donors included members of longtime TPFH supporters Tile Council of North America, Ceramic Tile Distributors Association and National Tile Contractors Association. TPFH coordinated the donations on behalf of Habitat in San Diego County.
