On this fireplace, we did a Contours tile from Diamond Tech with a travertine slab on top of the hearth. So a really inexpensive way of fixing that, was to paint it a flat black, it does the trick every time. Well I mean the paint helped too, ha! This powder room had been originally faux painted probably 10ish years ago and it just felt old and tired in there. So we ended up with this one, they win, I think it was a beautiful choice with the travertine sink and countertop. Quick Tip: When painting your own powder rooms ALWAYS do your ceilings, it makes all the difference.

We laid the travertine tiles on a diagonal to make the room look bigger and yes there are those glass tiles again at each intersection, she now loves these floors much more than her beloved Pergo.
