Studio 2 Pi Architecture completed the design and development of Villa Melana , a contemporary seaside residence in Greece. The large outdoor deck around the swimming pool is a perfect spot for taking in the endless sea views and the open horizon.

The courtyard focuses on a babbling fountain designed in exquisitely crafted, boldly colored tile and a seating area surfaced in clay pavers where friends and family congregate over a bottle of wine and plate of cheese and fruit. Texture and color are important elements, as well as the notion of secluding oneself from the rest of the world.

The ground floor, through the extensive use of glass, becomes transparent and unifies the indoor spaces with the outdoor ones. The simple color palette in gray and black is spiced up by bright red and green hues. So, for example, the kitchen is extended up to the barbeque area.
